Sherrington recruits new Commercial General Manager for Seatruck

Sherrington Associates has completed a challenging search to recruit a senior manager for Seatruck Ferries. Seatruck retained Sherrington in 2015 to support its search to appoint a senior operations manager and then again earlier this year, this time to recruit a new Commercial General Manager to the business.

Seatruck is the fastest growing freight ferry operator on the Irish Sea and provides an uninterrupted service for hauliers and logistics operators on both sides of the Irish Sea. Requiring a candidate with an in-depth knowledge, particularly of the Northern Irish transport market, Seatruck retained Sherrington Associates to conduct a highly targeted search of candidates, both within the immediate competitor market and adjacent sectors. Working under tight timescales to replace the outgoing candidate, Sherrington interviewed both internal and external candidates on both sides of the water and provided an exceptionally strong shortlist to the client. 

Following thorough assessment and competency interviewing, Seamus Leheny, Policy & Member Relations Manager for the Freight Transport Association, was offered the role and joins Seatruck in September this year. Seamus brings with him over 14 years' experience in the shipping and logistics sector, having also held key roles at TR Shipping and Hamilton Shipping respectively.
