Sherrington Associates has been the retained search partner for Bisley for over a decade and is currently retained to recruit a new Director of International Sales.

Over recent years, Bisley has enjoyed strong commercial performance across the group, not least due to its aptitude for identifying and exploiting new commercial opportunities in overseas markets. Despite challenging trading conditions in the United Kingdom during the last recession, the group has pushed ahead with an international expansion programme that has seen the development of seven international subsidiaries, the latest being opened in Dubai and New York, as well as profitable commercial relationships with over sixty international dealer partners across Europe. Today, Bisley’s international customer base comprises nearly sixty per cent of group revenues and is testament to Bisley’s reputation as a global leader in storage and innovative furniture solutions.

Following recent promotions, the business is now seeking to appoint a new Director of International Sales. The role is a senior leadership position with responsibility for all of Bisley’s European dealer base as well as direct responsibility for two of its international subsidiaries in Spain and the Netherlands. Leading a team of three London based account managers and with dotted line responsibility for the customer export team in Bagshot, the successful candidate will spearhead a strategic review of the current account base, re-categorising dealers before executing a strategy for growth in Europe in line with the group’s aspirations for global growth.

Key Strategic Objectives:

  • To be responsible for all our existing international re-sellers/dealers
  • To be the General Manager of the International Resellers profit centre
  • To manage a sales team of two-three
  • To build relations with all our existing resellers/dealers (currently 63)
  • To increase profit and sales by growing existing accounts
  • Close accounts if necessary
  • Identify and appoint new resellers/dealers
  • To develop direct end-users and architects internationally.
