Sherrington Associates is currently retained by leading industrial engineering provider Global E&C in their quest to appoint a highly experienced senior BD Manager to lead the growth of their expansion into the renewable energy sector.
Global E&C
Global E&C are a leading integrated EPC contractor servicing the UK's critical energy infrastructures. Their heritage is deeply rooted in embracing creativity and challenging how things are done. With a workforce of 1,100 and revenues of circa £100m (2023), the business is proud to be playing a leading role in the decarbonisation of the energy sector.
The transition to a low carbon economy represents one of the greatest challenges of our generation. With a legacy in oil and gas, Global E&C have been supporting customers both on and offshore to deliver a phased energy transition that is critical to achieving a fully decarbonised economy. The company's efforts to support decarbonisation have welcomed a wealth of new customers across the energy sector. With facilities across the North East of Scotland, Global E&C is delivering EPC services across the UK and is arguably the most digitally enabled and most fully integrated player in the market. Our culture is highly ambitious, dynamic and entrepreneurial.
Business Development Manager - Alternative Energy
The remit of the Business Development Manager (BDM) is essentially to support Global E&C’s growth ambitions by identifying, engaging with and ultimately winning contracts with new customers in the alternative energy market. Supporting the global decarbonisation effort by delivering innovative turnkey engineering projects for both traditional energy customers and increasingly customers in the alternative energy sector (eg: alternative fuels, hydrogen, nuclear, wind, biofuels, CHP etc), Global E&C wish to appoint an experienced BDM to focus on such work across the UK.
Global E&C have recently completed an extensive market research exercise, identifying key customer markets in alternative energy sectors, segregated by geography. It is expected the BDM will develop a plan to develop business with alternative energy prospects across all four geographical clusters, depending on scope and opportunity.
