Sherrington Associates are delighted to be appointed as the retained executive search partner for well-known wealth management consultants, Franklyn Financial Management, in their quest to appoint a new Chief Operating Officer (COO) to the business.

Franklyn Financial Management was established in 1999 by Andrew Chatterton, founder and Managing Director. Having grown organically through exemplary client care and outstanding advice, of approximately 2,500 St James’s Place practices within the United Kingdom, Franklyn are now the one of the top 20 largest in the country, managing over £470m of funds on behalf of their HNW clients.

Following recent regulatory changes in the market, an exciting opportunity has presented itself for Franklyn to significantly develop their fund portfolio through acquisitive growth, and the company is currently exploring a number of new acquisitions. To support this growth through effective integration of new acquisitions and through sound management and leadership of the Franklyn support functions, the business is looking to appoint a new Chief Operating Officer.


Chief Operating Officer

The remit of the Chief Operating Officer is to lead the operational teams across the business, whilst seamlessly integrating new acquisitions and driving sales performance by implementing robust performance metrics and coaching colleagues.

The role is multifaceted and will be a critical appointment for achieving the five year vision for the organisation. Working closely with the CEO and leadership team, the COO will play a strategic role, leading on all operational and functional aspects of the development and execution of the organisational growth strategy, building efficient compliance systems and building a culture of accountability across the business when it comes to adhering to regulatory standards and governance.

Leading both the support team and finance team, the COO will oversee operational management of all support functions across the business, whilst nurturing the Adviser and PSS teams to continue to deliver exceptional levels of client service. Leadership Experience:

  • A strong senior leadership background in a highly entrepreneurial professional services or financial services environment, where service excellence is a fundamental pillar of the business.
  • Strong people leadership experience, in particular leading operational functions within an ambitious, competitive and high-growth culture
  • Experience of achieving tangible growth within a relevant business that looks after HNW clients
  • Experience of leading in a business where performance metrics are crucial to overall success.

Remuneration Package

Basic Salary: £90,000 - £120,000 per annum
Company Car: Flexible offering
EMI Options: To be negotiated based on the five year vision
Holidays: 36 days (including bank holidays)
Other Benefits: Pension, PMI, CIC, DIS, PHI
