Founded in 2018 by entrepreneurial care sector leaders Ian McDougall and Gareth Potsig, Amore Group is now a leading regional player in the health and social care sector with an excellent growth record in recent years and a five-year vision to scale the group, with some subsidiaries expecting quadruple growth.
Amore Social Care: A quality-driven provider of agency care work, supplying staffing solutions throughout the North West region to support vulnerable adults and children to realise their life goals. (Revenues of £3.4m)
Amore Complex Care: A regulated CQC-provider of activities and supported living services to adults and children with a range of complex needs including mental health needs, autism, challenging emotional behaviours, acquired brain injuries and learning disabilities. (Revenues of £10.5m)
Sure Step Support Services: Operating an Ofsted-registered children’s care home in Woolton, Liverpool with plans to quadruple over the next five years, beginning with two new homes in 2025.
Next Steps Services: Providing a range of support services and day-to-day living services for those young people taking the step towards independnant living. Revenues expected to double over the coming years.

Managing Director
Amore Group are now looking to appoint an experienced Managing Director to oversee the Amore Complex Care division within the Amore Group portfolio in the North West region. The role will oversee a portfolio of CQC-regulated support living services, which comprises of circa 45 service users with Learning Difficulties, Autism and Complex Care requirements. The role will work alongside the senior management team to deliver exceptional levels of quality care.
The ideal candidate will already be working for another well-respected, health and social care provider currently, either within an operational or regional-management capacity, or maybe working within a senior Director capacity. We also remain open to considering strong leadership candidates from adjacent sectors where new perspectives on key challenges can be acquired.
A strong operational leadership background in the care sector will be highly advantageous however, in particular any experience of having managed care services for users with Learning Difficulties, Autism or Complex Care. The ideal candidate will have worked with a Board previously, or have reported directly into one, and will have the ability to effectively communicate and execute corporate strategy.
The ideal candidate will be a 'hands on' team player, who places the service user and staff at the heart of decision making. The successful candidate will have sound commercial acumen, with a proven track-record of managing a similar health and social care portfolio or region in terms of financial P & L accountability.
Leadership Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior management role in either the care sector or related adjacent market.
- Proven track record of successfully managing operations, leading teams, and playing a lead role as part of a senior management team, in developing and successfully executing winning growth strategies.
Leadership Competencies:
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications:
- Ideally a graduate in Social Care, Business or other relevant subject (however not essential)

Remuneration Package:
The role of Managing Director will command a generous basic salary of between £100,000 - £130,000 per annum (depending on experience) and will enjoy progression in line with performance, as well as a full corporate benefits package including Private Health Care (includes family), bonus and company car (BMW IX40).
