As a B Corp, it is important to all of us at Sherrington Associates to support our local community, we found the perfect way to do this through supporting the Cheshire Community Foundation.
Cheshire Community Foundation (CCF) uses local donations to fund projects which help build a Cheshire and Warrington where everyone can thrive. Their grants programmes target specific community needs and address urgent challenges like the cost-of-living crisis.
With over £14 million in grants distributed to community groups and organisations since 2012, CCF’s commitment to community is evident in every project and partnership, and their aim is to tackle poverty and disadvantage, helping build stronger, fairer, happier and more resilient communities across Cheshire and Warrington.
At Sherrington Associates, we have been supporters of CCF since 2020, providing pro-bono advice and introductions, and provided free recruitment for an impact group of senior leaders in Cheshire. Following the recruitment of this group, ore MD, Rob McKay went on to chair the group for 12 months.
After getting a front seat view of the amazing work the CCF do, we wanted to offer more support, and in 2021 we became proud members of the Cheshire 100, a group of like-minded businesses and individuals, who are committed to making Cheshire and Warrington a better place for everybody. By pledging £1000 a year to the CCF, the Cheshire 100, we support the charities core costs, helping them to do more of their vital work: researching needs, working with local agencies, and connecting great charities together, to ensure grants are effectively spent.
We are the first in line to sing the praises of this wonderful organisation, and have facilitated the introduction of generous business leaders who have gone on to contribute over £35k in donations- and rising. Several of these leaders have gone on to work with CCF to create their own strategic funds and foundations.
