“I am committed to collaborating with the huge wealth of talent that we have here, to contribute and promote our county’s successes whilst highlighting key business issues such as the STEM agenda and diversity within the boardroom.

“I am proud that Cheshire has one of the UK’s most skilled and productive workforces and that its science corridor boasts one of the largest populations of science and engineering businesses in the UK. The IoD is uniquely positioned to influence positive change for businesses across all sectors in Cheshire by leveraging our assets, in particular the diversity of our director-level talent across the 42,000 businesses which call Cheshire their home.”

Claire Ebrey, IoD North West Regional Director congratulated Rob on his outstanding application, saying: “Rob has a clear passion for working with the Cheshire business community to drive growth within the economy. His enthusiasm and energy made him stand out as the ideal candidate for this position.

Rob added: “The IoD has such a big year ahead and as the wider nation’s future is shaped over the coming months, the role of the regions in supporting the most positive conditions for growth and prosperity for us all, will be paramount. The IoD in Cheshire has an incredible opportunity to take a lead role in encouraging change for the county, but to do this we need to continue growing our enlivened, cohesive membership. I am truly excited to be taking on this role and contributing at this pivotal time.”
