Liverpool Chamber of Commerce CIC is a private sector business membership organisation that provides business services and support to new, developing and established businesses in the Liverpool City Region. The Chamber supports businesses through a membership subscription and additional services that are designed to achieve positive impact on individual businesses and the wider city region business community.

Director of Membership Services
The objective of this position is to lead the delivery, development and growth of the Chamber’s membership & commercial services. The post-holder will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment, retention, service and impact of the Chamber’s business services to businesses. They will bring a fresh perspective to the Chamber’s service delivery, building upon the legacy of our 175th anniversary and help to shape an impactful service for businesses whilst providing alignment between membership, marketing, events and business support activity.
The role will be ideal for a strategic, creative leader with an eye for detail, a hands-on approach, and who has credibility and lived experience within a business and can understand and relate to the requirements of businesses across different sectors. The post-holder would strongly benefit from lived-experience as an owner-manager or from previous experience within a commercial, relationship management, business development, sales or marketing role in a related field such as another membership organisation, professional services, business advisory or similar. The post-holder will be commercially minded, have budget competency, people management experience and be able to bring the best out of a team through leadership by example. The successful candidate should be a collaborative leader with authenticity and credibility, a strong networker active within the local business community who will be able to use local market knowledge to help shape the provision of services delivered to ensure the best outcomes are achieved for clients and for the Chamber.
Basic Salary - circa £60,000 pa + benefits package (to be discussed)
Business Development Manager
The Business Development Manager - Membership Services delivers recruitment & sales of new businesses into our membership services and other commercial revenue generation services. This role is integral to expanding our network, increasing our reach, and ensuring that more businesses benefit from the Chamber’s services, advocacy and opportunities.
Purpose: To recruit new businesses into the Chamber’s membership network & service portfolio.
The BDM will lead the growth of new member acquisition and other commercial revenue generation services including events sponsorship and other campaigns. The role is integral to expanding our network, increasing our reach, and ensuring that more businesses benefit from the Chamber’s services, advocacy and opportunities in the years to come.
The role will be ideal for solutions-orientated and highly relational business development candidate with a passion for the Liverpool City Region and an understanding of the local economic landscape gained from achieving success in a relevant sales career within a related organisation. The successful candidate will live and breathe the Chamber values of authenticity and integrity and demonstrate high levels of energy, empathy and innovation, and be capable of identifying and fulfilling prospective client requirements and ensuring they are deliverable with colleagues. The BDM will be an excellent networker, active within the local business community who will be able to use local market knowledge to help shape the provision of services delivered to ensure the best outcomes are achieved for clients and for the Chamber.
Basic Salary - Circa £45,000 pa + Chamber benefits package (to be discussed)
